Client: Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC)
New commercial space with condominiums above in the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati, strategically located between the two biggest employment centers, the central business district and the Uptown medical and university community.
PWWG worked closely with Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC), to create a place where people of all ages, incomes and backgrounds choose to live, work, shop and socialize. Design of the condominium incorporates 3CDC’s “Conservation Guidelines” for new construction in the Over-the-Rhine Historic District, so the building’s scale, materials, openings, and other design details are compatible with surrounding historic structures. The project also advances 3CDC’s aspirational goals for downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine to create great civic spaces; create high-density, mixed-use development; enhance historic structures and streetscapes; and build diverse mixed-income neighborhoods supported by local businesses.
The Allison includes 17 one- and two-bedroom units, with 4,500 sf of ground floor commercial space and 30 parking spaces. Apartments are between 1,000 and 1,300 sf and each includes a balcony or solarium overlooking Race Street or a midblock courtyard.
